Incognito Halloween Whiskey Cocktail

Get your chills and thrills with this Halloween whiskey cocktail perfect for any apple lover with apple brandy, rye whiskey, cinnamon syrup and seasonal bitters. Add a mustache on the glass and a creepy spider to the top. As long as you're not serving to an arachnophobe.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 oz Southern Distilling double rye whiskey
  • 1 oz Laird's apple jack
  • 1-2 barspoons of pear liqueur
  • 1/2 oz cinnamon syrup
  • 3 dashes Scrappy's Orleans bitters
  • Garnish: fake mustache, cinnamon stick, plastic spider

Instructions
 

  • Combine ingredients in mixing glass and add ice.
  • Stir for 30 seconds, until well-chilled.
  • Strain into prepared, chilled rocks glass and garnish with a cinnamon stick.
  • And a creepy crawly, if desired.

Notes

**Cinnamon syrup:
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 4 cracked cinnamon sticks
Combine ingredients in a sauce pan and heat to a simmer. Let simmer on low for 10 minutes. Turn off the heat and let it steep while it cools to room temperature.  Strain into a clean glass jar and store in the fridge.
