Servings 1

  • 2 oz bourbon
  • 1 oz lime juice
  • ½ oz Solerno blood orange liqueur
  • 1 oz hibiscus simple syrup
  • Garnish: salt and a Bomb Popsicle

  • Combine bourbon, lime juice, orange liqueur, and simple syrup into a shaker and fill with ice. Shake vigorously until the sides of the shaker are painfully cold. Double strain into a coupe glass garnished with a salt rim and top with a Bomb Pop. Let it sit for a minute or two for the popsicle to start melting into the cocktail, then bombs away.

**Hibiscus simple: Heat 1 cup of water to a boil and add ½ tablespoon dried hibiscus flowers. Steep for 8 minutes. Strain, and add to a small saucepan. Add 1 cup of sugar. Heat until the sugar is dissolved, then cool. Strain and refrigerate. Store in the fridge for 2 to 4 weeks.
