Jam Cocktail Sour-Style Recipe Template

Use a quick kitchen hack to use jam when you don’t have time to make a simple syrup for your jam cocktails. Jam cocktails can be created with any base spirit that matches the flavors in the jam, although both whiskey and gin are my favorites to play with.

Ingredients
  

  • 2 oz base spirit I used rye whiskey
  • 1.5 tablespoons jam or preserves I used raspberry
  • ¾ oz lemon juice
  • 2 dashes of Crude Bitterless Marriage (hibiscus, lavender, oak flavors) hibiscus, lavender, oak flavors
  • Garnish: lemon twist

Instructions
 

  • Combine base spirit, jam, lemon juice and bitters in a cocktail shaker and fill with ice. Shake for 10-12 seconds, double strain into a chilled rocks glass and garnish with a lemon twist or lemon wheel.

Notes

Note that this recipe is only dairy free and gluten free if the jams you're using the make the cocktails are!
