Settle into a sweet sipping chocolate old fashioned with bourbon, Ballotin Original Chocolate, orange, and mole bitters. It’s an easy riff on a classic whiskey cocktail, and a tasty one at that. This is a slight variation on the chocolate old fashioned recipe available on the Ballotin Whiskey website.

Ingredients
  

  • 1.5 oz Ballotin Original Chocolate whiskey
  • 0.75 oz bourbon
  • 2 dashes orange bitters
  • 2 dash chocolate mole bitters
  • Orange slice and cherry optional**
  • Garnish: chocolate dipped orange chip chocolate rim.

Instructions
 

  • Combine Ballotin Original Chocolate whiskey, bourbon, chocolate bitters and orange bitters in a mixing glass and add ice.
  • Stir until well combined.
  • Strain into a chocolate rimmed rocks glass with one large rock. Garnish with a chocolate dipped orange peel.

Notes

**If you prefer your chocolate old fashioned muddled, muddle the orange slice, cherry, and bitters in the bottom of a rocks glass. Add ice, chocolate whiskey and bourbon. Stir to combine. Garnish and sip to enjoy.
