Four Roses began with a love story. One hundred thirty years later, we’re still talking about her elegant reply and the whiskey brand that has inspired generations. The distillery had a cocktail contest, and although I didn't win, this is one of my favorite cocktails this year. Plus it's beautiful in the glass!
The Lady’s Reply
1.75 Four Roses small batch
1 tsp pecan liqueur
0.5 oz chocolate whiskey
0.75 oz fine apricot brandy (not artificially flavored)
1 dash apple bitters
Garnish: dried apricot and optional rose petal or small rose
Combine ingredients in a mixing glass, add ice and stir until well chilled. Strain into a chilled coupe glass and garnish with an apricot and rose or rose petal. Sip and enjoy.
